Clip On Rock Light mounts
Want to add rock lights and/or interior lights without having to make anything permanent and have some adjustment to where the lights are directed? We have a simple solution for you!
These are 3D printed from ASA filament, which is an incredibly strong industrial-grade thermoplastic, while being able to handle high-heat environments, along with very high UV and chemical resistance. They will hold up to nearly 375 degrees Fahrenheit before deforming. They feature heat-set inserts for the light mounting bolts, so there's no worries of stripping out plastic threads. These are also designed and printed in an orientation for maximum strength and can be popped on and off tubing without fear of the clip legs snapping off. This is a common problem for 3d printed parts printed in an orientation that is "easier to print", at the sacrifice of strength. These take longer than usual to print and create a bit of waste material, however we'd rather sacrifice some plastic for a stronger part, instead of ease of printing.
There are 3 different sizes available to fit the 3 most common rock lights people are using.
The 2 most popular from Mictuning are the Q1 Max and C2. The most popular from Nilight are their oval lights.
The bolt hole spacing for these 3 options is as follows:
Mictuning Q1 Max- 3"
Mictuning C2- 3.1"
Nilight Oval lights- 2.5"
Since the above listed manufactures sell M4 hardware with the lights listed above, all the brass inserts are M4 thread. Each holder will come with 2 stainless steel M4x12mm button head bolts, so there is no need to source hardware or cut down the bolts that are supplied with the lights.
The 3 different sizes are currently available for 1.75" and 2" tube OD. Being that we design, engineer and manufacture everything in-house, if you have a tube diameter that isn't listed here, email us and we can make you whatever size you need.
We will warranty them against workmanship or a design failure, however if you manage to strip out the brass inserts in the plastic, the warranty is void. So please use your head when installing the hardware.
We try and keep a decent stock of these on hand, however our printers run pretty much around the clock, so 3-10 BUSINESS DAY lead times should be expected.
***The filament pictured is a carbon fiber nylon, which we have limited stock of, however they seem to loosen a bit when exposed to water/moisture and required a few passes of electrical tape on the tube to snug them back up. This is why we opted to use ASA filament, being that it is unaffected by water/moisture. If you are prefer the carbon fiber nylon variant, feel free to email us and we can provide them for you, no extra cost(filament cost 2-3x more than ASA as well, just not really suited for their specific use case).***
***These are sold individually and do NOT include any lights!***
